In the Philippines, the cannibal giant Bungisngis is known as ‘He Who Shows His Teeth’ because his top lip is so large and loose that he can pull it over his head. Such was his implacable power that no one dared stray into his kingdom until the hero Suac came along and stole the giant’s club. This club then became the weapon that Suac used to subdue his people’s enemies.
